Increasingly, foodbourne illness
outbreaks are being traced to lettuce, tomatoes,
pepppers, and other fresh fruits and
vegetables.
Becky Paul, Co-President of the Guilford Garden Club,
Advanced Master Gardener, and Plant Science Educator,
talks about this important topic and how to apply GAP,
Good Agricultural Practices, to the food you grow and
bring to your table. Areas of discussion include

Numerous volunteers are needed October through
January for Artistry,
the Guilford Art Center's annual holiday sale of fine
craft and art. Be the first to see the exciting
things sent in for Artistry as you unpack boxes and tag
items. Perhaps you have an artistic flair for
arranging merchandise or would like to help us host
receptions and events. Volunteers are also needed
to assist customers and to restock and keep merchandise
tidy. Once the holidays are over, unsold items
need to be carefully packaged and returned to
artists.
