Guilford Art Center Moves Holiday Sale to the Guilford Green
“Artistry” Holiday Sale of Fine Craft & Art
in Downtown Guilford This Year

Guilford Art Center’s annual Artistry Holiday Sale of Fine Craft & Art will move to the Guilford Green this year, to celebrate the holidays downtown from November 1 through December 31.

Artistry on the Green will be held in the former Trailblazer building, 102 Broad Street, Guilford, CT. Situated on the north end of the Guilford Green, across from the historic Congregational Church, this spacious downtown location offers a perfect opportunity to expand this much-anticipated annual sale in a prime retail setting.

“We are excited to be bringing Artistry downtown for the holidays, to this fantastic spot at the Guilford Green,” says Guilford Art Center executive director Jean Perkins. “This beautiful New England setting on the Green in winter is the perfect place for getting into the holiday spirit. There are so many people who walk and shop and gather in downtown Guilford, and we’re also eager to introduce new patrons to the quality and range of crafts at Artistry.”

The former Trailblazer building is a huge retail space that the Guilford Art Center is transforming for this event. Outside and in, the space will be decorated to the hilt with lights and seasonal adornments in a blue and silver color scheme. The store will be filled with Artistry’s handmade crafts and art, including ceramics, glass, wood, fiber, leather, ornaments, and more, created by a jury-selected group of more than 300 artists. Throughout the season, Artistry will feature music, refreshments, and special events. Personal shoppers and a “Wish List” Gift Registry will also be available.

In further celebration of Artistry’s downtown milieu, the storefront’s large bay windows will be lavishly decorated with seasonal displays. These Holiday Windows will be unveiled during the Artistry Opening Reception, Thursday, November 1, 5-8pm.

All Artistry on the Green proceeds benefit the Guilford Art Center, its school and gallery programs.

Tree Lighting on the Green, Friday, November 30, 5-8pm, open for business!

Jewelry & Prosecco evening, featuring jewelry artists & spirits, Thursday, December 6, 5-8pm
