| Guilford Art Center Art Parties Are New This Fall
The Guilford Art Center announces a new program this Fall that offers grown-ups the chance to get together and explore their creative side. With “Art After Hours,” family, friends or co-workers can celebrate a birthday or a night out by making art together.
An “Art After Hours” group can meet in a classroom at the Guilford Art Center, or plan the get together at someone’s home and have a faculty member make a “house call” for the occasion. Topics include beading, belt making, book making, felted bowls, stenciled or decorated handbags, clay pots, or beginning painting or drawing. Or the group can plan and create its own project ideas.
“Why should the kids have all the fun?” asks Guilford Art Center Executive Director Jean Perkins. “This program is a great way for people to both socialize and work creatively in a way that fits into everyone’s busy lives these days.”
