New Venue for Contemporary Handmade Works: shopSPACE Gallery

The Guilford Art Center announces the opening of its new shopSPACE Gallery, a new venue for contemporary art and handcrafted works in all media, including painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, prints, pottery, jewelry, glass and more.

shopSPACE will feature a lively and ongoing selection of works throughout the year, representing high quality artistic objects for collecting and giving. A special focus will be on works by artists from Connecticut and the northeast.

"We are thrilled to have this showcase for fine art and handcrafted objects," says Maureen Belden, the Center's Program Director. "Our community knows Guilford Art Center as a place that celebrates creativity and artistry, through its school, gallery and events. shopSPACE will also provide a place for visitors to purchase works, and for the Center to continue to support professional artists."
