Check out all of the online and in-person classes and workshops foStep outside your comfort zone and create unique art that energizes your painting practice. This class explores abstraction in painting; through discussion, demonstration, and implementation this class will review a different topic each week, including color theory, compositional development and layering. No class 2/12.

Art Journaling Workshop (online)
Saturday, January 30, 10:00am-12:00pm
 
This workshop is not about scrapbooking. It’s about finding another way of self-expression using multiple layers of fabrics, washes, textured papers, music sheets and maps. These personal journals can be used for a myriad of things; dreams, travel, reflection, memoirs, etc. ;it’s an ongoing process. Using text is welcome.

Mixed Media Collage Visual Journaling Workshop (online)
Saturday Feb 6, 10:00am-1:00pm
 
Journaling is not only beautiful, but therapeutic. Mixed media is completely freeing and a simple distraction from the everyday grind. If you love expressive art this is the class for you! We will create a simple journal while you are learning collage, mixed media techniques, and pen work.

Wire Workshop: Woven Bezel Pendant (on-campus)
Saturday Feb 6, 1:00pm-5:00pm
 
Create a stunning bezel to capture a gemstone cabochon by learning to weave with wire. If you can wrap a wire around another one, you can master this timeless technique. The back side of the pendant features wire swirls to keep the stone secure, but it’s pretty enough to make this pendant reversible. Once you’ve made this bezel, never be intimidated again by complex designs. Fee payable with tuition $25.
