Still life is one of the most popular themes in the history of art. We will look at the still life paintings of many artists, note how they hide secret messages and special meaning into their work and learn how to create our own. After a few exercises with paints, pens, colored pencils, oil pastels and collages, students will have an opportunity to build their own still life to paint or draw.
