INTERMEDIATE SILVER CLAY JEWELRY WORKSHOP

This new metal clay workshop is an opportunity for students to create more complex designs in fine silver metal clay (.999 pure silver) and gain experience in intermediate techniques. 3-D con-struction and the technique of dry carving the metal clay will be covered in projects which include a hollow core bead, working with the metal clay syringe, and a surface carved pendant with a half tube bale. Students can complete at least two unique pieces of jewelry. A materials fee* of approx-imately $120.00 (payable to instructor at class), includes silver metal clay and a silver metal clay syringe to complete at least two projects, class instruction handouts, the use of design textures and other metal clay tools. Students should supply their own basic metal clay tool kit or a small tool kit may be rented in class for $3.00. *Materials fee is subject to change with the metals market.
