Paint the iconic Guilford landmark, the Grass Island Shack, in oils, on location. Built in 1930, it was restored twice after decades of neglect and two hurricanes to become one of the most photographed and painted scenes of Connecticut. Instructor will start with some in-class in-struction followed by an onsite demonstration, then individual attention. Learn about values, color mixing, texture, edges. Class will include critiques. Bring a bag lunch and a folding chair. Parking is available at the Guilford Town Marina at the end of Whitfield Street.
