GAC Announces “Sisters in Cloth Retrospective” Gallery Exhibition

A new exhibition by local quilting artists will open on April 9 in the Gallery at Guilford Art Center called “Sisters in Cloth Retrospective.” Open from April 9 – May 8, this exhibition features quilts made by “Sisters in Cloth”, a group of 12 fiber artists based along the CT shoreline.

“We’re thrilled to host Sisters in Cloth in the GAC gallery” says Maureen Belden, GAC Executive Director. “This group exemplifies all the wonderful aspects of making art together, inspiring one another, and creating beautiful works.”

Sisters in Cloth began in 2000 as part of the Guilford Newcomer’s Club. They have been exhibiting their work as a group along the Connecticut Shoreline for more than 15 years. Individual members have also exhibited their work throughout the United States and abroad.

The GAC gallery is open Wednesday – Friday, 12:00-4:00pm and Saturdays 10:00 am-4:00pm. The gallery is free and open to the community. Mask wearing and social distancing is required upon entry.
