Saturday July 10 Pop-Up: Meet the Artists
We encourage you to come by GAC this Saturday from 10am-4pm, meet the artists (many would have been at Craft Expo) and support their work! Artists will be outside under tents; entrance is free. The Shop and Gallery will also be open.
British born Michael Crampton studied illustration at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena California, before settling in Connecticut where he is be now commissioned from around the world. Michael’s illustrations are full of vibrant colour and strong shapes. Whether he is hinting at romanticism from days gone by or creating contemporary imagery his artworks are always full of life and have been used across a wide range of advertising and design projects.

Tina Bozza and Lori Benoit of Granby, CT founded their artisanal seasonings business in 2017 with a commitment to making fresh, small batch products. Saltbox Seasonings products are all natural and free of gluten, dairy, preservatives and other additives. The products have grown from herb blends, BBQ and grilling rubs to include a full line of salt-free seasonings, organic sugars in more than 30 flavors, six flavors of gluten-free seasoned organic corn meal for the air fryer or roaster, a nut-free pesto, hot pepper blends, hot cocoas and dips, dressings and marinade mixes.

Marsha Trattner is a blacksmith instructor at her own studio in Brooklyn as well as at GAC. Marsha holds an MFA in Sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design. She teaches sculpture and metal working at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. She also runs NYC’s only blacksmithing classes through her studio, She-Weld. Marsha and her work have been featured in the New York Times, Real Simple, New York Daily News, Provincetown Arts, and on NY1, among others. Recent commissions include a banister for Designer Cynthia Rowley, litter baskets for the New York City Department of Sanitation, the bread display for Amy’s Bread, and the world’s first solar-powered chandelier, at Habana Outpost in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.

Jewelry artist Lauren Mullaney of LMNT Jewelry honed her metalsmithing skills at the CT School of Jewelry Art and now has her own studio in her hometown of West Hartford, CT. Her jewelry line includes bracelets, necklaces, rings and earrings crafted from brass, sterling silver and stone. Designed to wear dressy or every day.

More Pop-Up shows will be held outside on the GAC campus on July 10 & 24 and Aug 7 (all Saturdays) from 10am-4pm. Admission is free and open to the community, rain or shine. The Shop will also be open during this time.
