Open Feb Workshops, Fiber Art Cards, “Bigger on the Inside” Exhibit

Sarah Zar exhibit at Guilford Art Center
“Bigger on the Inside” Art Exhibit by Sara Zar
Have you seen our entry lobby in the Shop/Office building? It’s chock-full of work by the talented Sara Zar, who painted Hurricane Woman for the front cover of local author Jen Payne’s book Water Under the Bridge: A Sort-Of Love Story. We had so much fun hosting a book signing with Jen last Saturday – check out the pics here. You can find more copies of her book in our Shop, open 7 days a week.

Sarah Zar is a “book-obsessed, multi-disciplinary artist” who has exhibited in the U.S. and abroad.. Whether drawing, painting, collaging, or sculpting, Zar uses images in a literary, psy-chological and symbolic way. Zar is currently working on community-based artwork in which anyone in the world can be painted into an epic narrative scene about the War on Imagination. Her work will be in the GAC lobby through April 16.
