STASIA PENKOFFLIDBECK

Stasia has worked as an exhibit designer at Harvard’s Mineralogical Museum, and completed an internship in illustration at the Entomology Department at the Smithonian’s National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC. She was also a Scientific Illustrator and Graphic Artist at the Mystic Marinelife Aquarium. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from University of Rhode Island and a Master of Science degree in Zoology from University of New Hampshire. She earned a Certification in Scientific and Technical Illustration from Rhode Island School of Design. She has been a potter for over 25 years and is Studio Assistant at the pottery studio at Guilford Art Center. While in graduate school, teaching became a passion for her and she is fortunate to have been able to combine her interests in science with her love of art into a career in teaching both scientific illustration and pottery.
