The Guilford Art Center is thrilled to announce that the Guilford Craft Expo, its annual contemporary craft and art show, will return to the Guilford Green! Held July 15-17, 2022, the Guilford Craft Expo is one of the most successful and long-running craft shows in America.
Over 170 modern makers from across the country will display and sell their fine craft in a variety of media, including Clay, Food, Glass, Leather, Jewelry, Wearable Fiber, Fiber for the Home, Metal, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, Printmaking and Wood. Plus new this year: visitors can enjoy gourmet foods and specialties!
“We are so happy to welcome back our artists and supporters to the Guilford green this summer for the Guilford Craft Expo” says Maureen Belden, GAC Executive Director. “There is great excitement to gather together again and to experience art and art-making in person. People tell us one of the greatest parts of their Guilford Craft Expo experience is interacting with the artists and learning more about their work and creative process. And the artists are also so thankful to be able to share their work with our visitors. It will be a very positive experience for everyone involved.”
Popular activities for the Guilford Craft Expo visitors include a Family Art Tent for young visitors, silent auction of exhibitor-donated work, live craft demonstrations by Guilford Art Center faculty and students, and sale of Guilford Art Center student work. Attendees can enjoy a snack or meal in the food truck area, which will also feature live musical entertainment throughout the weekend.
The Guilford Craft Expo is the Guilford Art Center’s single most important fundraiser, providing proceeds that support all of its educational and community programming.
Guilford Craft Expo 2022 Hours: Friday, July 15, 11-7:30pm; Saturday, July 16, 10am-7pm; Sunday, July 17, 12-5pm. Admission: Adults $9, Seniors $8, GAC members, children under 16, and active military Free. Multi-day pass $15. Cash and check only for admission.
The Guilford Craft Expo is held on the Guilford Green with the main entrance at 33 Whitfield St., Guilford CT 06437. The show is outdoors, rain or shine. Free parking and shuttle bus service is available at Exit 58 of I-95 at the commuter lots or Adams Middle School on Rt. 77 (233 Church St.). On site parking is available at St. George’s Church, 33 Whitfield Street, for $10/day, or you can find free on-street parking at other spots around town.
