This Saturday! Shop 7 Artists at the Artisan Pop-Up

THIS SATURDAY, August 7, 10am-4pm
Meet the Pop-Up Artists
Come by GAC this Saturday from 10am-4pm and shop artists (many would have been at Craft Expo) and support their work! Artists will be outside under tents; entrance is free. The Shop will also be open.

Olefson Art Opticals, based in NJ, is a Craft Expo favorite. They make handmade eyeglass frames and “artful readers”. The readers are made with flowers, wood veneers, tamisé (gold and silver leaf) and polymer clay (with matching earrings.) One of a kind frames that are sure to attract compliments wherever you go!

You’ll remember Peter Petrochko’s fine workwork from many Craft Expos in the past. His work in wood crafts is an outgrowth of studying both architecture and Fine Arts. While studying design, he became enthusiastic about making objects of wood, specifically wood vessels, sculpture, and furniture.

Vanessa Patrizio is a jewelry artist based on the shoreline. Her mosaic jewelry is made from Moroccan mini tiles, pearls and crystals.

Justin Gerace works predominantly with the potters wheel making large scale vessels, inspired by classical forms, graffiti, and hip hop, while also exploring numerous decorating techniques and firing processes. Currently Justin is the ceramics Professor at Salve Regina University in Newport Rhode Island. He also is an instructor at Guilford Art Center and Stonington Community Center.

Fueled by her reverence for the color, brilliance and luster of natural stones, Linda Vree designs and crafts a unique collection of hand strung and wire wrapped precious and semi-precious jewelry inspired by nature’s palette.

A Connecticut native, Susan Roberts has been designing and making jewelry for more than 20 years. Prior to venturing out on her own, Susan was a buyer specializing in antiques, home decor, clothing and accessories. She enjoyed creating elaborate set designs and floral arrangements, bringing together each element to create an environment of shabby chic.

Brett Hillman from Raising Wallz Pottery is returning to the GAC pop-up events. Hillman creates functional pottery with an organic style, as well as some sculptural pieces. All of his work is food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.

Artists listed may be subject to change. All participating artists will be announced on GAC social media, so make sure to follow to receive updates.
