Students will learn several ring forming techniques using fine silver metal clay. Use of slip syringe will be discussed, and students will learn how to flush-set synthetic stones for firing in metal clay. The making of cold-molds will be demonstrated and students will use them in ring making. This is a workshop for students with some experience working with metal clay. Students should be able to complete at least 2-3 rings. Materials fee* of approx. $130.00 includes sufficient metal clay, supplies and significant handouts to complete class projects, and is payable to the instructor at class.Prerequisite: at least one other metal clay class or workshop. Basic metal clay tools, including portable work-surface, are required and will not be provided.
