Guilford Art Center’s drawing and painting instructors approach these media in a variety of ways and our classes reflect that breadth. Some classes focus on mastering a technique and media, such as watercolor, oil, or acrylic painting, pastels or charcoal, while others offer instruction in figurative or abstract techniques, or a combination. Every semester students can choose from a wide range of classes to suit their interest or experience. Instructors can teach to a range of skill levels, so most classes are open to students of all levels, from the absolute beginner to more advanced.
