HOLIDAY EXPO 2026
Guilford Art Center invites artists and makers to apply for Holiday Expo 2026, our annual holiday shopping event featuring a diverse selection of original, handcrafted work. We welcome submissions in a wide range of craft media, including ceramics, woodworking, glass, jewelry, metalwork, stationery, leather, personal care, candles, home goods, textiles, fiber arts, and more.

REMEMBER YOU MUST LIVE: ON LIFE, LOSS, AND IMPERMANENCE
Exhibition October 9 – October 30, 2026
Grounded in the concept of memento mori, Remember You Must Live encourages reflection on an inevitable phase of life: the end. Rather than focusing on fear or spectacle, the exhibition invites artists to consider cycles, transitions, and the preciousness of life.
Local artists (Connecticut, New England) are encouraged to submit two works in all physical mediums for consideration, along with the completed submission form. Submissions can be emailed to aseneco@guilfordartcenter.org. Our in-house exhibitions team will notify artists of their acceptance status by Sunday, September 13, 2026.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Submissions are open local artists (CT, New England) Artists are invited to submit two (2) works each for consideration, which respond to the theme.
Images along with the submission form via email to aseneco@guilfordartcenter.org no later than August 30 to be considered.

CERAMICS RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Guilford Art Center supports a ceramics residency program for emerging artists. The residency is one year long, beginning September. The position will provide opportunities, in the form of working time and space, for artists to develop their own ceramic art while contributing to the workings of a communal pottery studio in an educational environment. TEACHING POSITIONS
Teaching positions are available for semester long classes and weekend workshops. Consideration is given to those with prior teaching experience and to curriculum that complements the programs at the Center.
