Early Fall Semester Classes Beginning Next Week
There are always a few classes that roll around pretty quickly in a new semester, so we wanted to make sure you don’t miss them. Register now!
BLACKSMITHING
Open Forge Session A: 5 Wednesdays beginning Sept 1, 6-9pm
Here’s a chance for blacksmithing and bladesmithing students to continue projects, or start a new project under the guidance of a working smith. Projects will be tailored to the individual student. Pre-requesite of a beginner blacksmith or blacksmith class.
Intro to Blacksmithing Workshop Session A
Sat-Sun, Sept 4-5, 10:00am-4:00pm
This workshop will introduce students to the basics of forging steel to shape using a hammer and an anvil. More info & registration.
Teen Blacksmithing, Session A
4 Tuesdays beginning Sept 7, 3:30-5:30pm
Students will learn basic forging techniques: how to build and maintain a coal fire, and use new skills to make several small projects such as hooks, fire pokers, and hand forged jewelry. More info & registration.
Intro to Blacksmithing for Teens Workshop
Saturday-Sunday, Sept 11-12, 10:00am-4:00pm
This workshop will introduce students to the basics for forging steel to shape using a hammer and an anvil. More info & registration.
SPECIAL INTEREST
Intro to Encaustic Painting & Collage Workshop
Saturday-Sunday, Sept 11-12, 10:00am-3:00pm
Students will be introduced to painting and collage using the ancient hot wax-based material Encaustic. Learn how versatile this quick-curing, re-workable medium can work for you in your artistic practice. Day 1 will focus on materials, tools and experimentation. Day 2 will be about the collage process and material layering techniques and embellishments.

Fall Semester Catalog
We have a wide range of adult classes and workshops, including Beading, Blacksmithing, Ceramics, Drawing, Fiber, Glass, Leather, Metals, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Paper and Weaving.
There are also classes for ages 4-12, plus teen classes.
Besides the early ones listed above, most classes begin the week of Sept. 20.
There is something for EVERYONE.
