Special Interest Art Class at GAC

Designed for all who think they don’t have a creative bone in their body, or simply want to strengthen them, this hands-on workshop includes tips, examples and practices designed to boost our ways of creatively seeing and experiencing the world around us. We’ll begin by looking at ways to be open to creativity, like being mindful of the world around us, being connected and centered, and by exploring ways to feed our curiosity, a key driving force of creativity. Creativity develops by turning to our five natural senses sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell, which are strengthened through exploration and practice. We’ll consider how we put color to work, unlock blocked ideas, or play mind games with words. We can’t overlook a sixth sense—that of wonder. Participants will leave with a greater understanding of the ins and outs of creativity and recognize that the spark of creativity is just waiting to ignite.
