LOW TECH WIRE CHAINS WORKSHOP

Learn to make your own Egyptian spiral chain, Viking (knitted) chain, wire wrapped links with beads and basic link chains.

THE WAR HAMMER WORKSHOP
Saturday-Sunday, May 14-15, 10:00am-5:00pm
Instructor: Aidan Garrity
Students will hot-punch holes in round bar, split the face of the hammer and then forge a spike off the back end. Heat treat and hickory handles, then testing on a steel drum!

DRAWING IN CHARCOAL & PENCIL WORKSHOP

Gain an understanding of form and the use of light and dark values to depict three dimensional objects. Demonstration on how to achieve proportion in drawing using charcoal and pencil, teaching simple perspective. A great workshop for learning to draw.

SPARKLY TUBE-SET EARRINGS WORKSHOP

ABSTRACT PAINTING WORKSHOP

Play and embrace paint from a place of no judgement. We will focus on experimenting with abstract painting, exploring color theory, color mixing, brush techniques, paint handling, layering and composition.

EXPRESSIVE COLLAGE WORKSHOP

Instructor: Dolores Marchese
Follow a natural process of layering and juxtaposing papers, photos, illustrations and drawing materials to create a piece rich with images and designs. Students may also bring their own materials for more personal expression.

LAMP WORKED GLASS BEADS WORKSHOP
Saturday-Sunday, May 21-22, 10:00am-4:00pm
Instructor: Stephanie Maddalena
Students will learn to use a torch to melt glass rods, creating personalized colorful beads. Many decorating techniques will be demonstrated, including enamels, metal foils, flowers and more.

TRY YOUR HAND AT PAINTING & DRAWING WORKSHOP

This workshop is geared towards the “absolute adult beginner” to learn the basics of painting and drawing in a supportive environment. Learn about basic techniques, materials and approaches to working creatively in two dimensions.

FLOWER POT CREATIONS WORKSHOP (ages 6+)

Instructor: Betsy Chichester
While creating their own flower pot for the garden children will have fun with terra cotta clay. Learn about hand building and decorate the outside, attaching clay coils, flowers, faces, animals or whatever they can imagine.
