Winter Registration, Holiday Shopping, Book Signing Event, & MORE

Looking Ahead to Winter Semester Registration

We plan to open registration for the 2023 winter semester the week of November 28. It will look a little different this year. We will have a scheduled registration period, to relieve demand on our online registration system.

Nov 28 – Adult weaving classes open for registration at 10AM
Nov 29 – Adult metals classes open for registration at 10AM
Nov 30 – Adult ceramic classes open for registration at 10AM
Dec 1 – All classes open for registration at 10AM

Also, we’ve updated our website to include more user-friendly pages of information and search options for classes and workshops. You can check it out HERE. It’s an easier way to browse our programs and then directly link to the registration pages. We think this new schedule of registration will provide a smoother experience for everyone. Let us know if you have questions.

Holiday Expo Continues

Our annual holiday shopping event, Holiday Expo, is open 7 days a week. Although it’s a new name (it was formerly Artistry), it is the same wonderful shopping experience that is free and open to all. Gift categories include ceramics, pottery, glass, jewelry, homeware, clothing, fiber, ornaments, accessories, toys, specialty foods, stationery, leather goods and more.

Book Signing with GAC Instructor Pat Meglio
Saturday, November 19, 11am-2pm in the Shop

Pat Meglio, a painting instructor at GAC, will be giving an author talk and signing copies of her newly-published novel, Anna’s Choice. There will be refreshment, and sales of books ($19.99) cards and calendars. This event is free and open to all.

“In 1862 New England, 16-year-old Anna Avery is outspoken and unconventional, and determined to become a professional painter in a vocation exclusively retained by men. Defying her conservative father–who wants to marry Anna off immediately– Anna searches for guidance and instruction but quickly realizes that very few experts are willing to professionally train a woman. Undeterred, she sets out on her own unique path to fulfill her dreams.”

Ongoing Registration for Adult & Youth Fall

Click here to view our fall catalog, where you’ll see classes and workshop for adults, teens and youth. The semester runs through early December. Questions? Email info@guilfordartcenter.org or call us (203) 453-5947. Our office is open M-F, 10am-4pm.

New Demographic Survey

In order to compete for grants and other funding, Guilford Art Center needs to collect the updated demographic information from our visitors and students, which will better enable our programs to be enjoyed by all. The questions will be used to understand who we are currently serving effectively and who we might better serve.

It’s a quick 3 question survey. Will you help us and take the survey? Thank you so much!
