6 for 2026! Our new year resolutions

OUR 2026 RESOLUTIONS TO YOU!

As we begin a new year, we’ve been reflecting on what matters most to our community—and how we can keep things creative, welcoming, and engaging. With that in mind, we’re happy to share Guilford Art Center’s resolutions for 2026 (the kind we fully intend to keep):

#1 Earlier Registration for the 2026 Youth Summer Art Program
Registration opens in January this year, giving families plenty of time to plan for a summer full of creativity and hands-on learning.

#2 More Art & Social Workshops
More chances to make art, meet new people, and enjoy the creative process together. Look for lots of Valentine-related workshops to enjoy with friends, family or a date!

#3 Expanded Weaving & Metals Classes
Due to popular demand, we’re adding more classes in these areas to accommodate eager students.

#4 Bringing Art Out in the Community

Know a school, organization, or community group that could benefit from our programming? Please let us know—we’d love to help expand access to the arts.

#5 More Time to Party
Birthday parties are one of our most popular offerings this year. We are streamlining the booking process to make it easier to plan parties for kids or adults.

#6 New Artists in the Shop

Fresh work, new voices, and even more reasons to stop by to browse, shop and support local artists.
When the world feels heavy, art helps lighten the load. Creating together builds connection, sparks joy, and reminds us that community—and a little paint, clay, or fiber—can go a long way.

Best wishes to all of you for the new year!
The Guilford Art Center Team

GAC Annual Appeal

At Guilford Art Center, we’ve known for nearly 60 years: creating by hand connects us—to ourselves, to one another, and to something timeless. Today, that connection feels more urgent and necessary than ever. Your gift can make a difference and an impact.

For the coming year we plan to continue:

  • Expanding our class offerings to welcome even more voices and styles
  • Bringing in new instructors who spark inspiration across generations
  • Creating more art opportunities, inside and beyond our studios
  • Improving our campus, ensuring GAC is here for generations to come

We thank you for your generosity and for being a part of a creative movement grounded in real-life joy, shared experiences, and the belief that art matters.
