Why I Give to GAC

Risë Daniels is an artist and ceramics student at GAC since 2019. She is also a writer focused on haiku, tanka, haibun, and haiga, published in multiple journals. In all of her art she creates a view into an unseen or unknown world around us.

A longtime donor to GAC, Risë most recently gave a generous contribution for two much-needed new kilns in the ceramics studio.

“I find Guilford Art Center an extraordinary, community and artist-focused organization. The instructors, staff, and students create a vibrant creative space, where beginners and advancing students alike can learn and pursue their artistic dreams. It is this sense of community and GAC’s outreach to the surrounding community, as the reason I choose to continue my support of their efforts.”

Thank you Risë! Your support is so appreciated.

Teen Volunteers Needed for Summer Youth Program

Is your teen looking for summer volunteer hours? Guilford Art Center is hiring for high school-aged classroom assistants in their Summer Youth Art Program. Volunteers will work in weeklong programs from either 9:00am-12:00pm or 1:00-4:00pm—or both. Weekly programs run from June 17 through August 19. Responsibilities include assisting instructors with art projects and classroom management, as well as supervising campers during outdoor breaks. This volunteer time counts for community service credit for GHS.

Interested? Please reach out to Annalise Fazzina at afazzina@guilfordartcenter.org.
