All are invited to our free opening reception this Friday, January 31 from 5-7pm. Our gallery will kick off its 2025 season with a multi-media exhibition featuring work by our faculty on Friday, Jan 31. Featured gallery works include ceramics, painting, drawing, fiber art, metals, and sculpture by members of GAC’s professional faculty.

Spring Registration
We’re looking ahead to spring already! Here are the dates for spring semester registration. We’ll have the catalog out at the end of the month so you can begin to plan for your classes. All registration will be online. Spring classes begin the week of March 24.

GAC Seeking Summer Youth Instructors
GAC is seeking instructors for our summer youth program, which will run June 23 – August 22, 2025. Classes are offered for age groups 5-7 and 7-12, and run 3 hours/day 5/days per week, 9AM – 12PM or 1PM – 4PM. If interested, please send a resume and a letter of interest mentioning the types of classes you would like to teach to Ashley Seneco, Education Coordinator: aseneco@guilfordartcenter.org.

METALS & JEWELRY
Flush Setting Stones
Instructor: Joy Raskin
Feb 2,10am-4pm
Learn about setting small faceted stones (1.5mm-4mm) flush with metal for a seamless look. Basic metalsmithing or jewelry skills necessary.
BLACKSMITHING
Forging Skulls and Faces
Instructor: Mace Vitale
Feb 2-3, 10am-4pm
Students will make punches and chisels, and then create iron skulls and faces with their newly formed tools.
SPECIAL INTEREST
Experimental Collage
Instructor: Anne Benkovitz
Feb 8, 12-4pm
Construct paper or mixed-media collage artworks by creating, cutting and reassembling various colored and textured papers, photos, text, images and printed ephemera.
Winter Class & Workshop Registration
You can register now for all remaining classes and workshops for our Winter semester which runs through March. Many classes have begun but there are lots more opportunities for classes and workshops over the next 2 months.
