Watercolor Painting Inspired by the Masters

Instructor: Marcy La Bella

There is much to be learned from the great masters at any level in our painting journeys. This workshop will focus on works of Braque, Matisse, Bonnard and Kandinsky. Create work in watercolor or goache and mixed media by adding color pencil, pastels, water soluble crayon or watercolor pencils to the mix. Discuss process, technique and ways to have a successful painting.

Expressive Collage

Students will begin by choosing from collage materials provided by the instructor. Starting with 1 or 2 illustrations, what follows will be a natural process of layering and juxtaposing papers, photos, illustrations and drawing materials on heavy board. Students may also bring their own materials.

Combining Gold & Silver Workshops
Sunday, October 17, 10:00am-5:00pm
Instructor: Joy Raskin

Are you ready to work with gold and add accents to your silver? We will cover the different alloys of gold, the different colors available from yellow gold, white gold, pink gold and how to solder. We will do some keumboo on patterned silver sheet, make a gold bezel on a silver back, work with 18kt over sterling bi-metal, and gold-filled wire and sheet. Adding gold to silver brings out the beauty of metal and a lovely 2-tone effect.
