Students will embark on a barnyard adventure using painting, collage, and other mixed media techniques to create adorable farm animals, rolling fields, and rustic landscapes.
Handbuilding with Clay: Clay Architects & Sculptors
Open to ages 8-12

Learn sculpture and 3D skills while you make a Doll House, Club house, Boat, or Video Character environment. Try your hand at clay, cardboard and wood bits, pipe cleaners, fabric, wire, and pompoms.
Crazy Crafts
Open to ages 5-7

Crazy Crafts returns for a second round of magical zany fun where the sky’s the limit for creativity and imagination. Little hands will work with different types of mediums and mixed media for a fun-filled week of unique and unusual crafts.
Drawing & Painting the Earth,Sky, and Oceans
Open to ages 8-12

Students will use a variety of materials (watercolor paints, oil pastels and markers) in an exploration of our earth. We will create drawings and paintings using techniques specific to the various materials. Students may use teacher suggestions as a starting point or pursue their own ideas. There will be at least one three-dimensional project. The instructor will have numerous books on hand to spark your imagination. Our project for the last day will be a surprise!
Summer Explorer:
Mixed Media Arts
Open to ages 5-7

Make summer-themed art from a variety of materials including yarn, fabric, paint, ink, stamps, clay, etc. Kids will create projects such as faux stained glass, wooden frames, wall hangings, and mandalas.

Nature Assemblage Cabinet

Create a place to explore and display a collection of nature objects, memorabilia and images. Choose from my found treasures and bring your favorites to create a cabinet or box style living journal that can include a variety of mediums of your choice including paper collage, found object mosaic, printmaking, drawing, painting and story.
Summer Botanicals: Mixed Media Collage
4 Thursdays beginning July 31
5:30-8:30pm
Instructor: Carole Firth
Students will use summer botanicals to create a variety of mixed media artworks. Students can work on paper and /or on 3 dimensional surfaces such as wood, glass, ceramic, cardboard, recycled tin cans and other found objects. A variety of materials to explore will be provided such as; inks, acrylics, various glues, flowers, leaves, grasses and different kinds of papers. Students may bring in ideas, materials, images, and objects that interest them. (Teens are welcome!) The instructor provides materials, ideas and examples and encourages students to explore their own styles and inner intuitive artistic methods.
Lampworked Glass Beads Workshop
Saturday-Sunday, August 2-3

Students will learn to use a torch to melt glass rods, creating personalized colorful glass beads. Many glass decorating techniques will be demonstrated, including enamels, metal foils, flowers and more.
Jewelry from the Forge

Learn to make unique jewelry in a unique way from forged steel. This class will teach you hand forging techniques to transform steel into rings, necklaces, cuffs that can be as delicate or “statement” as you want. No experience necessary!
