Free Gallery Opening Reception this Sunday, 2-4pm
Guilford Art Center is delighted to announce the new gallery exhibition, Local Color 7: Circular Thinking, featuring fiber art created by the Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA-CT). It kicks off with a free Opening Reception, open to the community, this Sunday, February 1, from 2-4pm.
This exhibition of fiber art by members of SAQA-CT is designed to explore the varieties of meanings, images, and experiences evoked by the circle. The circle can be appreciated as a shape, a symbol, a concept or a metaphor. This exhibition seeks to celebrate diverse explorations of this image that has permeated cultures across the world and across time. Read more info here.
The show will be displayed in the GAC gallery daily through Feb 28. The gallery is open 7 days a week: Monday-Saturday, 10am-4pm and Sunday 12-4pm; free admission.

Soup-er Bowl 2026 To Go!
Like our Soup for Good event? This one follows the same model, but in conjunction with the big game. Purchase tickets to our Soup-er Bowl and you can select a handcrafted bowl made by GAC potters, and get homemade chili (beef or vegetarian), corn chips and a beer/seltzer. This event is “to go;” come pick up everything from 12:00-1:30pm on Sunday, Feb. 8. Each ticket purchase will benefit the Guilford Art Center and the Guilford Food Bank.
