Guilford Art Center Offers Creative Opportunities for All Ages This Summer

Summertime is creative time at GAC! Registration is now open for all summer art classes and programs for youth and adults at Guilford Art Center. The GAC website features downloadable catalogs, as well as online search options to explore all class offerings and to register.

Classes for adults begin the week of June 26. Workshops are offered throughout the summer and registration remains open throughout the semester. Class types include beading, blacksmithing, ceramics, drawing, fiber, glass, metals, painting, printmaking, weaving, and other special interests.

The Summer Youth program is a 9 week program that runs June 19-August 18. It features weekly half-day and full-day sessions for kids ages 5-12 years, plus classes for tweens and teens. Weekly programs are built around popular themes and craft techniques. Professional instructors are experienced in teaching children in a caring way, sharing their knowledge of painting, drawing, sewing, sculpture, pottery, cartooning, blacksmithing, metal working and more.

Financial aid is available; applications can be found at www.guilfordartcenter.org. Applications are due June 12 for youth and June 19 for adults.
