Free Drop-In Workshop for Middle School Students
Wednesday, Oct 22, 1:15 – 3:15pm
Middle School students are welcome to drop to work on art projects for the afternoon with instructor Carole Firth. They can also do independent exploration with materials on hand. Adams Middle School students can walk or take Bus 24 to GAC. No need to register.
Next Teen Art Club Meeting – Halloween Broom Making Workshop
Friday, October 31, 2:30-4:30pm
High school-aged teens are invited to our free drop-in Art Club – no prior registration or Guilford residency required. Art Club offers creative workshops and a welcoming space to connect with fellow young artists. Guilford High School students can take Bus 8 to the Center after school. Free!
Mark you calendar! Holiday Expo Returns to Guilford Art Center Nov 14
Every day there is a new artist dropping off or sending their work to us to include in the annual Holiday Expo event – it’s so fun. We can’t wait for you to see all the beautiful handcrafted gifts we’ll have for sale this year. We’re especially excited about our partnership with the Lyme Artisans Guild, who will have work for sale as well as conduct craft demos on weekends.
Mark your calendars for the free Opening Reception on Friday, November 14 from 5-7pm. We’ll have holiday refreshments and free giveaways while you get the first peek at all the new items for sale. Can’t make the opening? We’re open 7 days a week from November 14 – January 11. And remember – all GAC members shop with a 10% discount. It pays off quickly! Soup’s On! November 23 at GAC
Our potters are spinning in the studio to have beautiful bowls ready for our annual Soup for Good event! Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 23 for this important fundraiser for GAC and the Guilford Food Bank. We’ll have homemade soups, bread and wine, plus each ticketholder gets to pick out a completely unique handmade bowl to take home.
Tickets will go on sale next week; we sell out fast, so watch for the announcement!
