Guilford Art League 78th Annual Juried Exhibition & Sale

The Guilford Art League’s 78th Annual Juried Exhibition & Sale returns to the Gallery at Guilford Art Center this September, showcasing a diverse selection of artwork by Connecticut artists.

Founded in 1947, the Guilford Art League has promoted an interest in the arts and supported artists throughout Connecticut for nearly 80 years. Today, the League has more than 150 members working in a wide range of mediums, styles and artistic traditions. Its exhibitions and events provide opportunities for artists to share their work, connect with one another and engage with the community.

The Annual Juried Exhibition is one of the League’s signature events, bringing together artwork selected by an independent juror. This year’s juror is Nancy Whitcher, a Connecticut-based, classically trained artist who works in printmaking, sculpture and photography. Her work has been exhibited in local, regional and national juried exhibitions and is held in permanent and private collections. Whitcher is also a member of several Connecticut art organizations and is President Emeritus of Connecticut Women Artists.

The 78th Annual Juried Exhibition & Sale will be on view September 7–26 in the Gallery at Guilford Art Center, offering visitors the opportunity to experience and purchase original artwork by artists from across Connecticut.

Opening Reception: Sunday, September 13, 1–3pm
