Wheel Throwing Pottery: Session E Week 6 7/27-31
This class focuses on working on the potter’s wheel and is welcoming to all skill levels. Beginners will learn the fundamentals of throwing, while students with prior experience can refine their techniques and build new skills. Confidence and ability will grow throughout the session and as students develop at their own pace.
Wheel Throwing Pottery: Session F 8/3-7 Week 7
Students will learn wheel throwing techniques to make functional pottery on the pottery wheel, or by adding coils, slabs and pinching. Imaginative projects are also encouraged, and we will utilize a variety of tools to achieve texture and pattern.
Handbuilding with Clay: Clay Architects and Sculptors 7/27-31 Week 6
Learn sculpture and 3D skills while you try your hand at clay, cardboard and wood bits. Decorate your structures with pipe cleaners, fabric, wire, and pompoms.

This class focuses on working on the potter’s wheel and is welcoming to all skill levels. Beginners will learn the fundamentals of throwing, while students with prior experience can refine their techniques and build new skills. Confidence and ability will grow throughout the session and as students develop at their own pace. Please note: NO class Friday 7/3.

Students will learn wheel throwing techniques to make functional pottery on the pottery wheel, or by adding coils, slabs and pinching. Imaginative projects are also encouraged, and we will utilize a variety of tools to achieve texture and pattern.
Hand Building With Clay: Session A 6/22-26 Week 1
Students will be taught the hand building methods of pinch, slab and coil. We’ll be using them singly and in combination to create a variety of sculptural and functional pieces. Students will also have time to work on projects of their choosing. Glazes will be used to complete the work.
Glaze Application Workshop
Now that you have made the pots – it is time to glaze! Avoid disappointments. Learn to apply glaze so that your work is looking its best. Glaze trail, dawn soap, resists, underglaze, stains – and more! Bring a notebook and some bisqueware that was made at GAC.
