Make a variety of objects such as luminaries and sculptures in clay with summer themes like birds, dragonflies, butterflies, bees, flowers, and sea life . Incorporate a variety of materials into the clay, like sea glass, beads and shells. Pieces will be finished with acrylic glazes.
Creative Pillows 8/11-15 Week 8

If you like working with fabric and creating colorful patterns and designs, then come join me for a fun filled week of pillow making and more. Students will design and construct pillows made from a variety of fabrics using various sewing and layering techniques. Fabric, thread and sewing needles will be provided and participants can bring fabric of their own. Students must have a basic working knowledge of sewing machines and how to sew by hand.
Fun with Sewing 7/7-11 Week 3

Create, stitch, and bring your ideas to life with fun sewing projects like stuffed animals, pillows, and custom designs for clothing. Whether you’re fixing a button, patching up your favorite hoodie, or making fun stuff like a stuffed animal or a cool tote bag, sewing is both useful and creative. In this adventure, students will learn all the basics—stitching, embroidery, and even how to use a sewing machine. Let’s get stitching and bring your ideas to life!
Crazy Crafts Returns 7/28-8/1 Week 6

Crazy Crafts returns for a second round of magical zany fun where the sky’s the limit for creativity and imagination. Little hands will work with different types of mediums and mixed media for a fun-filled week of unique and unusual crafts.
Handbuilding with Clay: Create a Clay Circus 8/18-22 Week 9

Make a circus out of clay from Mother Earth. In a circus there are ponies and horses and riders with plumes, dogs that jump through rings, a music band, acrobats on swings! Talking parrots and monkeys on trikes. We can add fabric and wire to make a tent, the flying trapeze and the tightrope.

Down on the Farm: Mixed Media 7/28-8/1 Week 6

Students will embark on a barnyard adventure using painting, collage, and other mixed media techniques to create adorable farm animals, rolling fields, and rustic landscapes.
All About Kites 7/21-25 Week 5

We will use repurposed/recycled materials and our imaginations to build functional kites. Participants will learn how to make simple paper kites and some sewing and more advanced kite-building skills to build, paint, and decorate beautiful flying sculptures from recycled fabric, bamboo and bicycle spokes. We’ll also learn about kite-building traditions and celebrations from different cultures, and have some fun hand-building with air-dry clay to make and decorate some very fancy kite-string winders.
Art Of Africa Week Art Of Africa 7/21-25 Week 5

Students will learn about different artistic and cultural traditions throughout the continent of Africa and make a Wodaabe mirror pouch from Niger, paper beads from Egypt, A Kua-ba dolls from Ghana and much more.
Art Of Asia 8/18-22 Week 9

We will start in India and make a twirling palm puppet, then go to Japan and make a paper Uchiwa (fan). Then make a Korean dragon puppet before we travel on to China and make a traditional paper cut, and much more.
