Children will spend time cutting and folding paper, stomping, splashing, blending, texturing, mixing colors, drawing from observation and creating portraits.

Beach Dune Buggies and Space Ships 8/11-15 Week 8

Imagine wild ideas for cars, Ubers, airport shuttles, satellite rockets, and build models of them! We'll use clay, cardboard, wood bits, beads, paint, charcoal, shiny stuff, cloth. Make people to ride in them, and a shelter for vehicles. Use all kinds of materials, learn about fitting things together, and make them move. We're making sculpture, and painting it, to make it real.
Beaded Bliss 7/14-18 Week 4

Journey into the colorful magical world of beads to create colorful one-of-a-kind jewelry. Young artists will design their own unique bracelets, necklaces, anklets and more. A variety of glass, resin and metal beads, glass cabochons, beading wire and findings will be provided. Project focus will be on how we adorn our bodies to express our unique personalities and highlight the use of colors and patterns to create rhythm and emotion. Class requires a little patience with lots of imagination.
Beads, Baubles, Boxes and Clay 7/7-11 Week 3

Unique and unusual is the theme here from what you use to what you create. Students will create a variety of projects using beads, boxes, decorative paper, and clay. We will explore several types of painting, beading and sculpture techniques intertwined with added mixed media. The sky is the limit in this class loaded with surprises.
Big Cutouts and Collage 6/30-7/3 Week 2

This class is all about the joy of Color and Shapes and Composition. We use scissors to ‘draw’, our own stories and ideas to arrange and rearrange, and glue to hold it together. Just using printed and magazine papers, real and imaginary scenes will appear, of the tropics, a shopping trip, a jungle, new clothes, your house, big faces, or our pets! Collage and cut papers develop skills in color and design creativity.
