Meet GAC Donor Nina V. Donnelly
Nina is one of GAC’s wonderful donors and supporters. As a member of the board of directors from 2014 to 2023, her twin passions for art and design (her jewelry is featured in our shop) and experience with nonprofit boards helped guide planning and policies. Most recently Nina made a generous donation towards our school. Thanks to her, we now have a permanent retractable shade awning for our summer youth program and other outdoor classes, as well as new seating in our classrooms. Thank you, Nina!
“GAC is an exceptional resource for the entire Shoreline as well as Guilford” says Nina. “The school and the gallery to me are priceless. The rotating shows, the events and the instructors and classrooms are uniquely special not just to me, but, to anyone who has the opportunity to stop by or participate or simply to just be around some exceptional people and artists. I have a place deep in my heart for GAC and the nine engaging years I spent on the board.”

About the film: “The Quilters” is a 32-minute documentary, that follows the daily lives of several men inside the sewing room in a Level 5 maximum security prison in a small Missouri town. Audiences will come to know these men, witnessing their struggles, triumphs, and sense of pride as they create something beautiful in this windowless, sacred space, deep within the prison walls. Through this process and the relationships forged audiences will witness the power of art to restore an individual’s view of themselves and others.
McShane, whose previous documentaries (Ernie & Joe: Crisis Cops, Mothers of Bedford) have received critical acclaim, turns her lens toward these everyday artists with empathy and nuance.
