Think of the books you love. Who are the characters? What do they like to do and where does it happen? We’ll use clay and paint cardboard murals. We’ll explore the buildings, vehicles and machines of their magical worlds with a variety of materials.
Creative Air-Dry Clay: Session A

Make a variety of objects such as luminaries and sculptures in clay with summer themes like dragonflies, bees and sea life. Incorporate materials into the clay like sea glass, beads and shells. Finish with an acrylic glaze. Beautiful summer art!

Beaded Bliss
Open to ages 8-12

Instructor: Renee Soares
Journey into the magical world of beads to create colorful one-of-a-kind jewelry. Young artists will design their own bracelets, necklaces, anklets and more, using a variety of glass, resin and metal beads, and glass cabochons.
Fun with Metal: Session A
Open to ages 9-12

Instructor: Connie Pfeiffer
Come work in the metalsmithing studio and stamp, hammer, fold, bed, cut, twist, shape and heat metal to make jewelry and metal sculpture. Play with copper and brass sheet metal and wire to create 2 and 3 dimensional objects and forms form nature to wear or hang. Also explore basic hand tools for metalsmithing.
Decorative Arts Around the World
Open to ages 8-12

Learn about decorative arts and crafts from around the world and throughout history by looking at the work of famous artists, craftspeople and folk artists. Some projects to choose from: weave a rug or wall hanging, paint a teas set and cutting board; decoupage a tray or jewelry box, create ceramic vase & toys.

STAINED GLASS FOR TEENS

Open to teens 12+
August 11-15, 9:00AM to 12:00PM
Enjoy building stained glass works of your choosing using the copper foil method. You will learn how to cut glass, foil and assemble pieces into windows, sun catchers, boxes, panel lamps, etc. There will be patterns for you to choose from or you can bring in any ideas you may have. This class will enable you to expand your skills and make beautiful color creations of light. We recommend that students wear long sleeves, long pants and closed toe shoes when working with glass. Fee payable with tuition $25.00. Tuition: $240.00 Members: $216.00
