Natalie Pittman
Natalie Pittman grew up in Wethersfield, CT. She received a bachelor’s degree in fine arts in Ceramics from the University of Hartford. Currently, Natalie is the Studio Manager of Wesleyan Potters Inc in Middletown, CT, and works at Canton Clay Works in Collinsville, CT as a wood-firing technician. She enjoys teaching adult classes for both hand-building and wheel throwing skills at multiple studios.
Natalie creates functional forms that generate a personal connection through tactile surface and process. Her work explores designs and patterns through colored slips, textures, and different firing methods. She has contributed work to exhibits such as “Cheers! Drink up” at Commonwheel Artists Co-op in Manitou Springs, Co, and “Drink 2” at University of Hartford in West Hartford, Ct.
