Help Create The GAC Community Quilt on Feb. 23, 5-7pm

To coincide with the current Studio Art Quilt Associates exhibition in our gallery, GAC is inviting the community to participate in a group art project – The GAC Community Quilt! The three-day artmaking event will kick off Friday, February 23 from 5PM – 7PM with an open studio workshop in our school building, during which participants will receive a square to decorate at one (or all) of our creation stations. For the remainder of the weekend, visitors can stop by the gallery foyer during business hours decorate a square and create with other community members. The squares will then be attached together, culminating in a community-made quilt which represents how all our lives and stories are woven together.

If you would like to volunteer to assist with this project, or have any questions, please reach out to Ashley at aseneco@guilfordartcenter.org
