Registration Opens Early for Guilford Art Center’s 2026 Summer Youth Art Program

To help families plan ahead for a creative summer, Guilford Art Center is opening early registration on January 26 for its popular Summer Youth Art Program. Running in weekly sessions from June 22 through August 21, the program offers flexible, engaging art classes for children ages 5–12 and teens.

Designed with busy parents in mind, the weekly format allows families to register for individual weeks that fit their summer schedules. Led by professional instructors, classes feature a range of art including painting, beading, drawing, blacksmithing, comics, sculpture, ceramics, metals, sewing, stained glass, weaving and mixed-media. View all class offerings and schedules in the online catalog.

“Opening registration early gives parents the opportunity to thoughtfully plan their children’s summer,” says Maureen Belden, Executive Director of Guilford Art Center. “Our weekly sessions offer flexibility, and our programs for both younger children and teens ensure that every age group has a place to explore, grow, and stay inspired.”

Families can choose a half-day or full-day weekly session. Guilford Art Center offers Bridge Care, providing supervised care between morning and afternoon sessions.

Financial aid is available to all families. “We never want cost to be a barrier to participation,” Belden says. “Thanks to our supporters and community partners, we can offer tuition assistance so more children and teens can experience the arts.” The online application deadline is June 10.
