CLAY EXPLORATIONS
Open to ages 5-7

Let’s get messy with clay! Explore the many clay possibilities while creating animals in their habitat, underwater creatures, jungle scenes and more. You’ll learn clay techniques, build habitats with recycled materials and decorate your clay creations. Air drying clay will be used for all projects. Fee payable with tuition $10.

MAGICAL MANDALAS
Open to ages 8-12
June 17-21, 9:00am-12:00pm
Instructor: Renee Soares
Journey to a faraway place to learn how mandalas are created and used throughout the world. Students will be introduced to a different art technique each day as they create original designs using paint, decorative paper, cloth, clay, glass beads and yard. Creative techniques include stenciling, weaving, image transfer, paper cutting and beading. Fee payable with tuition $12.

THE ART OF ERIC CARLE

Take a peek into the art of picture book writer/artist Eric Carle. We will create art around a different book each day to create visual expressions by fusing mixed media art with cutout words and images. Projects will revolve around the characters and themes that we encounter in each book. Fee payable with tuition $5.

HAND BUILDING WITH CLAY; SESSION A
Open to ages 8-12
June 17-21, 1:00-4:00pm
Instructor: Alice Chittenden
Students will be taught the hand building methods, using them singly and in combination to create a variety of sculptural and functional pieces. Students will also have time to work on projects of their own choosing. Glazes will be used to complete their work. Fee payable with tuition $10.

MIXED MEDIA ART FUN: SESSION A
Open to ages 8-12
June 17-21, 1:00-4:00pm
Instructor: Carole Firth
Children will explore a variety of art materials and techniques to create interesting projects such as fairy globes and clay pots. We’ll create using a variety of techniques, including printmaking, collage, painting, drawing, paper mache, sculpture an dupcycling. Fee payable with tuition $10.

LET’S GET SEWING
Open to ages 9-12
June 17-21, 1:00-4:00pm
Instructor: Claudia Mathison
TLearn basic sewing machine and hand sewing skills while designing and stitching a summer weight patchwork quilt and pillow. Proper sewing tools, hand stitching techniques and ironing skills will be covered. Fee payable with tuition $25.
