FORGING HEARTS WORKSHOP
Saturday-Sunday, May 11-12

Forge iron hearts and roses for someone special or to incorporate into your own projects. Hearts and roses are iconic forms in forged iron wares and architectural metal sculptures. Individual interpretations are encouraged. Sheet metal forming, riveting, symmetrical bending, and slitting are just some of the techniques we’ll use in class.

BLADESMITH THROWING KNIVES WORKSHOP

In this bladesmithing workshop students will create throwing knives using the stock removal method. Blades will be heat treated, ground and set up for throwing. One to three blades can be made during the workshop. Fee payable with tuition $65. Tuition $350 Members $315.00.

HANDMADE ART JOURNALS WORKSHOP

The art of journaling and zine making is growing in popularity as it allows for great individual expression of thoughts, feelings and beliefs. The process of creating thse journals, zines and art books can be a very relaxing and mindful art process. We will use both painting and collage techniques. It is suitable for all levels even if you have not painted before. Instructor will supply watercolor paper, collage materials, art mediums, paint and ephemera for this workshop. Please feel free to bring your own personal visual imagery that you wish to include. You can also bring old magazines to share if you wish. needed. Fee payable with tuition $15.
