LAMP WORKED GLASS BEADS WORKSHOP
Saturday-Sunday, April 27-28
10:00am-4:00pm
Instructor: Stephanie Maddalena
Students will learn to use a torch to melt glass rods, creating personalized colorful glass beads. Many glass decorating techniques will be demonstrated, including enamels, metal foils, flowers and more.
Fee payable with tuition $25.

EXPRESSIVE PORTRAITURE WORKSHOP
Saturday, April 27

Instructor: Dolores Marchese
Students will use collage, paints, oil pastels, drawing media and printed materials from magazines and other sources to create a portrait not based on a figurative representation, but by using forms and various illustrations to depict the person being represented. We will have a short exercise to start with that will inspire how the portraits will be developed.

COLLAGE WORKSHOP
Saturday, April 27

Instructor: Anne Benkovitz
Students will create paper or mixed-media collage artworks by cutting and reassembling various colored and textured papers, photos, text, images and printed ephemera. Collages can be further embellished with paint, markers, crayons, pencils, stamps, thread, fabric and found objects. Tools and supplies like glue, gel mediums, sealants, tapes, brushes, cutters, hobby knives and cutting mats will be demonstrated and provided for in-class use. Students may build on collages on Bristol or matte board suitable for display, or directly in their own sketchbooks or journals. Instructor will provide an exploration guide suggesting collage prompts, styles, techniques and media approaches to inspire students’ work in class and beyond. All collage materials and tools will be provided, but students may bring photos, clippings or other meaningful items to incorporate into their work. No prior experience needed. Fee payable with tuition $15.

BEGINNING CROCHET WORKSHOP

Sunday, April 28
10:00-1:00pm
Instructor: Netra Garani
This introductory workshop will cover the basics of crochet. Students will learn various stitches including chain, single, half and double crochet. Once the student is comfortable with the stitches they will be able to start with a small project that they can complete at home. Please bring on skein of worsted weight yarn and an H/8 5mm crochet hook.
