Students will learn about basic metalsmithing techniques, including working with wire to create simple jewelry and shaping sheet metal. Learn to cut, texture with hammers, drill, and connect pieces using ear wires or links. Using simple hand tools, students will work with copper and brass provided in class to create their own unique pieces. $25 per student for copper, brass, a limited amount of sterling wire, and beads.
