Contemporary Painting – New Aesthetics
Explore contemporary art making and journaling as a way to capture your lived experiences. Draw inspiration from holiday travels, interiors, or weekly colorful still-life setups. Learn to experiment with color, brushwork, and composition in abstract, realistic, or hybrid styles. Each class concludes with a supportive group critique to inspire growth and reflection. Express Yourself In Oil Paints
Explore the vibrant colors, textures, and timeless beauty of oil paints. Learn about values, color mixing, texture, edges and how to select a good composition. Instructor will cover the materials used in oil painting, including paint, brushes, surfaces, and medium. Instructor will demonstrate a variety of painting techniques and will provide individual and class instruction and informative handouts for each topic. Bring sharp printed photo reference (8” x 10” or larger) or use one provided by instructor (no electronic references) This class has a required materials list.

Beginning Oil Painting
Whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or returning after a long break, this 10-week course is designed to give you a solid foundation in oil painting.We will move at a measured pace and follow a detailed lesson plan so students know what to expect in each session.
